“The podcast could be really good, but the failure to write women well and the voice acting are really preventing it from achieving that.
The women are all written as angry, sarcastic and over the top. This leads the voice actors to exaggerate those qualities and it really pulls you out of the story. And there are random characters with English accents that make no sense whatsoever in the context of the story or town.
The main character is supposed to be sympathetic, but comes across as whining and entitled because he’s supposed to be the smartest person in the room because he can talk with the dead.”
