How IT is revolutionizing the tricky world of car manufacturing
Listen now
Description
Tech is having a transformative effect on manufacturing, nowhere more so than in car manufacturing. IT is involved in every step of the process chain: from design to manufacture. And whilst advancements in technology have sped up the process; that also comes with its own challenges. The methods to train and monitor robots, as well as humans, are constantly evolving as AI plays a bigger part in the process. And then, of course, there's integrating the manufacturing and sales process, as customers demand more and more customisability in their vehicles. In this episode, we're joined by Peter Grendel, Managing Director of ABAT+, to look at the challenges and opportunities that come with using modern technology and sustainable engineering in order to get a brand new car from concept to production.  This is Technology Now, a weekly show from Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Every week we look at a story that's been making headlines, take a look at the technology behind it, and explain why it matters to organizations and what we can learn from it.
