Goodfellow is a master
I'm a PhD student from Australia but I stumbled upon Gordon Goodfellow's course on iTunes U whilst looking for history podcasts. In a nutshell, Goodfellow manages to take his listeners through 4000 odd years of ancient and western history in an incredibly vivacious and captivating manner. He is a funny and charismatic speaker and sets out the salient points of interest with ease, whilst peppering his lectures with lots of colourful anecdotes. If you want to learn the basics of European history, or just like hearing old stories, this is the podcast for you.
