“I love this and appreciate you sharing. I’ve been in the medical field for a little over 5 years now. I choose the medical field due to my father being a fire/medic and watching him save lives; than when I was 14/15 years old my grandma died with Alzheimer’s. Just like your grandfather she forgot everyone but me, she had aspirated while my mother, brother and I were in on way to see her. After that truly wanted to do what I could to help others going through this and give them the care they needed and deserved. I stated as a nursing aid on a liver failure floor and tried to work my way to become a nurse. My first year of college my mom had a tumor removed and I was pulled to active duty with the National Guard. Than my father got diagnosed with stage for pancreatic cancer with liver failure. So I am pushed myself hard and am school to become a pathologist. I am currently a Lab technician helping behind the scenes working with nurses like you to give patients the best care possible.”
