“When the whole idea of a podcast is to get to sleep, 3 minutes of noisy ads at the beginning defeats the object of it. I struggle to get back to sleep after waking up and it often takes longer than 1 episode, but allowing the app to carry on playing the next episode means you get the ads again. I was close to falling asleep the first time I found the podcast and got jarred awake again with an ad for shopify where a guy was yelling.
I get the need to support the cost of producing this podcast but the presenter needs to somehow find a way to control the level of advertising (3 mins is too long) and content itself.
This is a great idea well executed but is ruined by ads, and it’s a shame.”
