It’s simple but effective in killing mindless scrolling.   Whenever I catch myself scrolling, I use a verbal trigger to stop and then substitute scrolling with more intentional actions like connecting with others, creating content, or consuming educational material.  The method includes creating a 'What to do when you don't know what to do' list to replace scrolling with productive activities.  I thought about deleting social media apps, but it's impractical.
