Thank god for this smart, refreshing podcast!
I was already very excited when this podcast was announced, and now I am thoroughly smitten after hearing the first episode. Danielle and Millie are totally unpretentious while being super thoughtful in their film analyses. They’re also just warm, funny hosts with great rapport. You don’t necessarily need to have seen the films to enjoy their commentary, but you’ll likely want to watch them after hearing these hosts break them down. It’s also just incredibly refreshing to hear two brown women talking about movies instead of the constant drone of popular dudebro cinephile podcasts out there. This show is much more accessible, approachable and relatable to anyone who enjoys films and is looking for a podcast that goes beyond the boilerplate reviews from popular critics.

I’m super stoked for more and I’m hoping for more grandma recordings...Read full review »
