Exceptional
This podcast succeeds on multiple levels. It paints a vivid picture of a unique period in West Virginia, and Morgantown in particular (I spent significant time there from 1976-1980, had met Marsha several times, and know some of those interviewed). It simultaneously tells the story of a remarkable person, whose story should be told, while also exposing the emotional toll on those who now choose to tell it. Finally, it simultaneously shows the evolving dynamic between mother and daughter as they dive deep into known events, and new revelations, and the impact it has on their relationship. Like Marsha, this podcast is so much more than what it may initially seem.

Fabulous story, totally engrossing mystery and a cool look into the counterculture of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Hearing Jamie and Karen’s experiences first hand bring it all to life!

Charming and folksy storytelling with a puff of dark underbelly. Very curious to hear how the mystery of Ferber is solved, but more so to gain greater understanding of how the ideals and activism of the 1970s brought us to (and perhaps influenced) the activism of our current time.
