Perhaps a warning about Yes And impacting a series
I enjoyed the idea behind this podcast. Non author characters calling up the author and his editor to talk about books has some legs. The first episodes even delivered. Where I begin to dislike the show is we have a mousey weasel character constantly being attacked by his aggressive assertive editor. But because of improv they keep adding to how whiney or detestable the writer character and then they carry that all on board for the next character. As a result we have a craven, morally questionable woman-hating socially inept host now and I don’t like the character at all. At a couple of points they did a soft reset with their Karen character trying not to be so negative but very quickly the two primary performers return to the caustic relationship that I don’t enjoy.
