The guests
Just because some is a culture journalist doesn’t mean they’ll be good on a podcast. Cat Sposato was so bad as a guest that first time in my ICYMI listening history I actually had to turn it off. Horrendous. It sounded like someone outside a concert venue had just been asked to come into record a podcast. The entitlement was shocking. Also I’d have a word with acast or whoever manages the advertising about maybe putting a frequency cap on the ads. Hearing the same ad four times in the one episode is ridiculous. I never noticed other Slate podcasts having this issue.
