Physiotherapist
I really enjoyed listening to these podcasts so far. In particular, the scoliosis podcast (#2) is very interesting and useful for a number of reasons. Firstly, the speaker gives a great overview of the different schools of thought and surgical procedures in relation to scoliosis. Secondly, she goes into great detail about what physiotherapists can do for patients with scoliosis and when other interventions may need to come into play. Describing the degrees of curvatures that are important and what we need to know as physiotherapists treating patients with scoliosis. Finally, the podcasts wraps up with major take-home points for physiotherapists in practice. As a clinician in her second year of practice, I have often felt that scoliosis is an intimidating condition to treat. This short podcast highlighted some important points to help people when treating scoliosis.
