Special Encore Presentation: Corporate Pain and Dismantling of Personal Identity
Listen now
Description
This is not necessarily all that new as an issue. It is a cycle that repeats and while harmful to the employees, many feel compelled to stay, whether it be through loyalty, investment in their career, or out of economic need. In the next hour we will engage with a specific story of Karen Sweet, an individual who made her way to a high-level management position, working for a company she loved. After many years as a highly esteemed player, repeatedly recognized and rewarded as a top contributor, she suddenly found herself facing an aggressive, bully of a boss and was forced out through tactics of fear-based cruelty and faced the dismay of discovering the company she once loved now lacking equity and integrity and condoning a regime of fear. Facing deep depression and in true danger for her health, she was left no alternative but to abandon her career and seven years of personal equity she had built in herself and the company. We hope you will call in if you have stories to share that have happened or are currently happening to you.
