Terrific podcast
This is such a wonderful window into history from the vantage point of someone who lived it directly. Lady Bird is not a perfect person (none of us are) and the audiotapes featured in this podcast are audio snapshots from a very different time so her use of words like “colored” seem horribly out of place now, but those recordings were made in the early 60s when that would have been a more polite racial identifier. My overwhelming feeling in listening to this series is that Lady Bird was a tremendous asset to both LBJ and to our country. My respect for her has grown exponentially in getting to know her better through this podcast. Can’t wait to also get the book.

I’m really enjoying this. Love this fresh take on a woman in leadership who went uncredited for so many years

Very well done! There is not too much out there about her. This podcast ferrets out unique information about Ladybird. The original material is well integrated with Ladybird’s voice, and the soundtrack establishes the mood well.
