Listen now
Description
In Vitro Fertilization increases the risk of multiple births which can result in prematurity.  Today we have Kelly Damron telling us the story of her premature daughters who were IVF babies.  One of her daughters developed the prematurity complication NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis). Kelly shares must know information about preterm infants, NEC and her emotional roller coaster including postpartum depression. Kelly has helped other infertile women by running support groups in Arizona for RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association (http://www.resolve.org/).  Kelly won the 2012 Night of Hope RESOLVE service award. She also is the author of Tiny Toes: A Couple's Journey Through Infertility, Prematurity and Depression. (http://www.amazon.com/Tiny-Toes-Infertility-Prematurity-Depression/dp/0979374308)
