The attempted hit on sheriff Buford Pusser (walking tall) and actual murder of his wife in Selmer, Tennessee was carried out by the Dixie Mafia. This guy and it’s operation in Georgia was a small faction of the overall Dixie Mafia syndicate, which is why no one has ever heard of it.”
