Glamorizing trauma for a good ol’ southern story
I grew up right down the road from Winder so I’m happy to see local folks and histories getting a voice - I listened to both seasons for that reason. But it’s clear by season 2 that Sean Kipe is way out of his depth with the trauma that has shaped the participants’ lives. His fatherly love refrain and few minutes w/ the murder victim’s families is weak. The lack of perspective and depth from the host is moving this podcast closer to glamorization of violence and abuse.

This is one of the most interesting podcasts I have heard. I live in Southeast Georgia and never heard about this. Great story very interesting. Thank you for giving us this podcast!

I’m from Winder, GA. I’ve heard of some of these stories but never knew the in depth background information that Stoney is providing. Excellent storytelling and production.
