Open Workshop. Building an evaluation toolkit for educational institutions for senior learners
Listen now
Description
The EduSenior is a project of the Lifelong learning programme of the European Commission nearly to conclude. Its main products are a guide and an evaluation toolkit aimed to be applied on educational institutions. This toolkit is composed by 38 indicators grouped in several dimensions (pedagogies, models, subjects, activities, staff, organisation and premises) and it is based on the impact of the education to senior learners' quality of life; well-being, inclusion, participation, social integration, support, creativity, etc. The most innovative and challenging result of this project is the evaluation toolkit, mainly because the specific target of the learning activities are seniors citizens (whose motivations are completely personal, not guided by job requirements) and also the impact on any lifelong learning activity should not only affect their knowledge but their social competences, active and critical participation, group work, learn to learn, digital inclusion, etc. This workshop wants to present the results of the EduSenior project and demonstrate the empirical use of the toolkit. In addition, it wants to constitute an open forum for discussion and knowledge sharing in the topic of laterlife learning. It is open to students, researchers and personnel interested on the topic.
