Hasn’t lived up to expectations
I was excited for this podcast because I thought it would broaden my perspective to hear from incels. However, I’ve been disappointed by the host’s approach to interviews. I don’t mind that she is speaking to people with fringe views, but the guests often make baldly false or sweeping claims that she does not challenge in any way (even to just ask them to explain their logic). The facile arguments made by many of the guests haven’t really enhanced my prior understanding of what is driving the increased self-identification of incels. I’m sympathetic to the problems faced by unattractive people, and the damage that unrealistic expectations of masculinity inflict on men, but I expected more intellectually rigorous discussions.
