Fascinating, insightful, and totally addictive
Before I discovered this series, I thought being an Incel was a very simple, unpleasant, black-and-white kind of psychopathy. Naama Kates’ deep-dive investigation into the world and mind of the Incel reveals that it’s much more complex than that. Through a combination of incisive reporting, engaging storytelling and beautifully balanced interviewing, she strips away the sensationalism of the headlines to reveal Inceldom’s ugly/sad/tragic/disconcertingly human face. If this podcast was a book it would be described as ‘unputdownable’ so maybe ‘unturnoffable’ would have been a better headline for this review. Absolutely brilliant.

A tactful, honest look at a very depressing part of our society. Refreshingly, this podcast is not a hit piece on incels. The presenter is doing a great job of discovering the story herself and and I’m really enjoying following along.
