It can get better, give her time
The topic is really interesting and something I’ve been investigating or trying to understand more. Some of the absolutely insane ideologies are easy to dismiss, and in general I think this “community” is whiny and offensive. However, I really enjoyed her latest interview with the “scientifically” inclined interviewee, I forget his name, because I think it highlighted some alternative views from the incel perspective and I thought she did a good job of disagreeing with him in a constructive way. It was definitely the first episode that I didn’t have a moment to disengage or tune out. She recognizes in the “bonus” episode that there is room for improvement, due to her lack of journalistic experience, conflict avoidance, and sound quality. Honestly, I have no problem with any of those things but would like edits that take less time to hear the more poignant perspectives shared, and I would love if she concluded the episodes with a bit of an assessment of the interview. Whether that is her opinion of it, what she’d have liked to ask, what she found interesting or surprising, new topics that she may research and address later because of the interview, and/or some good resources that could shed more light would be of interest to me. Overall, I look forward to it getting better and hopefully to update my star review.

Appreciate the interviews, the insight, the information. Where is this going? Where are you taking us? Pet peeve: the audible exhaling/scoff.

This podcast is extremely interesting and informative. It’s easy to dismiss incels as being misogynist/Elliot Rodger types waiting to take revenge for their shortcomings on the rest of society. There’s no denying that a lot of misogyny exists in these online forums and that some incels have gone...Read full review »
