“I've subscribed to podcasts before, but most of them are too long, and therefore take forever to download, especially on my wimpy 56k internet connection. I've cancelled most of them before the first episode even got halfway downloaded. Weren't worth my time. I've downloaded two episodes of another popular podcast, iTunes New Music Tuesdays. Out of about five subscriptions :). But 10-15 minutes each, encoded at a high bitrate, got too long for me to download on a regular basis. And I like iTNMT except they showcase all the genres, including ones I don't like, and only play about 30 seconds of each song. Great, but not quite enough to help me decide on what music is worth the price they ask. However, I love how indiefeed has seperate podcasts for each genre. Now I've found a podcast that only has music I like. Also, each podcast has an entire song - a lot easier to form opinions with. And just one song each, which is a lot easier on my poor excuse for an internet connection. Indiefeed is the first podcast that I intend on staying subscribed to for more than one episode at a time. In fact, I can't see me ever unsubscribing! IMO, indiefeed is a valuable way to find great new music without tying up a phone line for hours at a time. Since it's free, there's no reason not to try it! Unless you pay per MB on your connection, but even in that case, it'll be cheaper than most other podcasts!”
