When we last heard from the residents of Spruce Mountain Resort, a third fatal ski accident in three weeks had put the normally chill town of ski bums, second-home owners and resort officials on edge. A super-famous visitor has been impaled by a tree falling, but due to the sharp eyes of a ski patrol rookie, it has begun to appear—and be discussed openly— that the tree falling at that exact moment was not accidental—but planned. The suspicious circumstances have drawn newcomers to the town: Ski corp lawyers, Hollywood agents, insurance investigators—and the FBI.  We join them in a resort conference room, where FBI agent Chantal DuBois is attempting to bring order to the assembled parties and piece together the needed information.
