Sandro Mamukelashvili on staying authentic with your ink and the inspiration that goes into every tattoo
Listen now
Description
Milwaukee Bucks rookie “Mamu” has followed InkedNBA since his Seton Hall days. He joins us today with his artist Inkmanb. From cultural icons like Allen Iverson to 50 Cent we talk some of his first influencers. Growing up with strict parents he recalls his first tattoo and how he had to hide it from his dad for months. Drawing inspiration from some of the world’s greatest artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, Mamu thinks of these visionaries every time he gets tatted and Sandro explains the inspiration and sentimental meaning behind his Kung Fu Panda tattoos. He’s one of the only rookies who came into the league with a full leg sleeve. He shouts out the Ball brothers, James Bouknight, and Kelly Oubre Jr. for the work they have. It’s not only art, but expression, and meaning as well.
