Greenville Health System’s Patewood Memorial Hospital has been recognized as one of the best hospitals for 2016-17 in orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report. The hospital is ranked #19 in the nation in orthopedics and is the only hospital in the state to be ranked in this specialty. Patewood Memorial Hospital was also named high performing in hip replacement, and GHS’ flagship hospital, Greenville Memorial, was named high performing in heart failure, colon cancer surgery and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
