“When I was a young biology student at UCLA, I couldn’t help but notice there was something deeply wrong with my education. Courses on biology (especially evolutionary biology) seemed geared to reduce the fantastic spectacle of nature to a child’s block toy. “There are no mysteries” I was told, “Everything you thought was great, is boring.” I knew that couldn’t be right but I knew I didn’t want to be bored, so I went and did other things. I’m a computer programmer now and I have a better grasp on concepts of function and complexity (not to mention logic). I can see now how much Darwinism was never as much science as it was a Victorian cultural artifact. Thank you for the podcast and please keep it up.”
