“I love the titles of some of these podcasts, but I started listening to this show with the podcast on thyroid nodules. This doctor would not let the woman who was on the show with him complete a single sentence without interrupting her. I can’t imagine how she was not demoralized to the point of choosing not to complete the podcast. I am a few years out of medical school and a junior doctor myself, and I know this dynamic very well. Women are rarely given the respect due them from male doctors. Their ideas and input is rarely given the same weight. This needs to change.”
