Woodward wastes time and moves discussion away from fossils
Woodward wasted much of the time introducing and reintroducing Prothero, and repeatedly saying how much he disagreed with Prothero but how pleasantly they were discussing and how they were really grappling with the issues. They weren't at all. Woodward did most of the talking, and continually moved discussion away from the (overwhelming) fossil evidence. He continually pushed discussion off onto origin of life, evolution of proteins, controversy over publication of Stephen Meyer's paper, what Philip Johnson did or didn't say about naturalism. The last 1/3 of the podcast was Woodward and his friend characterizing Prothero's argument and discussing Jesus -- without Prothero being able to be there to comment at all! The goalposts moved a lot -- they were on wheels. It would be instructive to have a statistic on what percentage of the time Woodward was doing the talking.
