Each episode kicks off with a clever 1-2 punch — a sound bite montage, followed by a musical beat that (for me, anyway) evokes a feeling of being transported from a funhouse-mirror perspective on the week’s headlines, to a more elevated/illuminated plateau. From here, we can get a better view of the political landscape. That’s when the curtain’s pulled back and our host delivers a crisp, clean voiceover: “THIS...is Intercepted.” Nice work.”
