A masterclass from the best - interviewer AND interviewee.
Andrew is one of the most effortless empathetic interviewers this country has. So you know any interview he does will bring something new to the table. However I didn’t expect this from Daniel Johns. He is all class and totally genuine. I’m so glad Daniel refused to label his diagnosis because those of with kids with labels or adults who probably should have a ‘label’ also know the attributes Daniel describes are what makes us open to the world and unique nota an adjective to be boxed up. I totally understood what Daniel was talking about in terms of sensory input, oh boy did I what! By the way Dan... I see days of the week as colours. Tuesday is always bright yellow. And I love being at home too- you described my feelings without imparting the guilt there is something wrong with being a homebody. When the world assaults one’s senses every time you step outside the door then of course home is the best place in the world! And I’m anonymous.. what it must be like to face cameras going off... Thank you Daniel and Andrew for being so relatable. Great interview and great interviewee.

Andrew Denton has built a reputation based on his discernment, his discretion and his respectful interview style. He’s trusted by the Who’s Who and that shows in the candor displayed by his guests. Great series!

Andrew is perfect as usual. My only critique is the ridiculous intro sound. It’s REALLY bad and a really weird choice. Podcast producers need to consider how people listen, headphones, night time, at a level that’s comfortable etc. Apart from that, great.
