Riveting !
In 2008, I went to Ghana on a Habitat for Humanity housebuilding project in Bolgatanga - up north we saw the fields with stones where captured slaves were shackled and at the end of the trip we went to Cape Coast and Elmina slave fort, and walked thru the prison rooms and the Door of No Return. It was surreal and heartbreaking, and you felt almost panicky imagining the suffering ghosts of such a place. This podcast (at least this first installment!) is an amazing tribute to the souls lost in this journey - those lost in the death march to the coast from northern & inland areas, and those lost on the seas. It is detective story, adventure and history in one. Riveting and I can’t wait to hear more.
