“I am practicing orthopedic surgeon. A 1971 graduate of Wayne State Medical school, I was exposed to very little molecular biology, almost no immunology. This course was an excellent compendium of both. I have dealt, diagnosed and treated all the disease states discussed and knew about immunology in a general way, picked up as I studied treatment of disease states. This course served several general themes for me 1st, a good basic introduction to immunology, 2nd a 1st hand look at the teaching didactics of a good prof/teacher's approach to modern day 3/4 year college students, 3rd a basic over view of modern molecular biology. I was disappointed that prof Beck did not discuss steroid, methotrexate COX, Asa, and prostaglandin influences on the system, but overall it was a good course well presented and recommended. I feel that completing this course will help me in understanding what's coming, what is and allow me a much better basic science understanding of my patients lab reports.Thank You Professor Beck”
