The Voices of ignorance
This show has morphed into something that is a long step away from what it started as. The conversations that are had stem from a place of ignorance hidden under the guise of “comedy” Especially that of Mitch Churi, he as a privileged white cishet male, spews little comments that are microaggressions and has said things on the show in the past that are quite racist like putting on accents and using stereotypes especially towards Asian and Indian communities. He justifies this because his partner is Filipino. Apart from that starting the latest episode off with the same jokes about pronouns that someone like Joe Rohan would use. I’ve been listening to this show since (almost) the beginning and I even have some of the merch! unfortunately this podcast will be taken off my playlist and the jumper will be donated to Savers Think twice before you listen. Mitch Churi has slowly ruined the podcast with his persona

More reviews of Is It Just Me?
This podcast was a welcome addition to my list of weekly aural treats. Not since Sharon Strezlecki’s “Any hole is a goal” netball weekly has there been such a five-star worthy podcast. If you ever need a Kiwi correspondent, look me up.
