“Two things about THAT Barzal goal from a Buffalo resident:
Sabres fans absolutely cannot shut up about how amazing it was. (Can’t blame them.)
The Hertl goal Dan referred to was actually scored on Martin Biron. This is not something I specifically remembered, but what I inferred from Marty saying he deserves partial credit for Barzal’s goal, because if he hadn’t let that one in years ago, these kids wouldn’t be trying it now.
The Sabres as a team are hard to watch, and their broadcast is not the best, but Marty Biron is always a bright spot.
PS Islanders Anxiety is my favorite Isles podcast, everyone should listen.
