“I used to begrudgingly listen to this show. They always got great guests and discussed interesting topics, but I find Sam Sanders interviewing persona/style off putting. He inserted himself into the interviews too much and used to cut people off. He came off as very judgmental and like Terry Gross, he was more interested in asking leading questions that affirmed his thoughts and got the answers he was fishing for.
Ms. Luse is the opposite! She is inquisitive and seems genuinely interested in hearing what her guests have to say. Brittney’s questions are thoughtful, open-ended and seem to come from a very empathic place. Love the guests and love the new direction of the show. 10/10!”

“We’re only two episodes in but Lena Waithe! It’s casual, fast-paced listening. Like Fresh Air but Sam talks faster, code switches effortlessly, and the NPR friends have shrugged off their on-air formality. I followed him over from NPR Politics, and both are on my must-listen-to-every-episode list.”
