“The pilot of Friday Night Lights is my all-time favorite episode of any TV show ever. I was a senior in high school when this first aired, so I truly felt like I was living in this show. I wanted to date Jason Street, Matt Saracen, and Tim Riggins; I wanted to be Lyla Garrity, Julie Taylor, and Tyra Collette. And when I got my brand new iPod video (throwback!), I didn’t use it for music videos, oh no. The first thing I downloaded to watch was the pilot episode of FNL. I can’t tell you how many times I have watched this episode and how many tears I’ve shed during it. The pilot captures the very essence of the show and I still get goosebumps just thinking about certain moments of the pilot. And this podcast! It is a dream come true. I get to relive my fantasy life in Dillon while rewatching the series AND get to re-relive it while listening to my, in my teenaged opinion, two high school sweethearts, and Amber Holt, who was my bestie in college… in my imaginary Parenthood world. I love what you are doing with this podcast and can’t wait to keep listening and continue rewatching along with you. Or beside you if, you know, you need another superfan to keep Mae company or throw some flags on the plays. Thank you for giving us the podcast we needed! CLRIFL❤️ can’t lose.”
