 JACI: In Practice Editor-in-Chief, Michael Schatz, describes the October issue, the theme of which is “Telemedicine 2022”. Theme topics covered include including patient and clinician attitudes towards telemedicine, the regulatory environment of telemedicine before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, telehealth and allergy services in rural and regional locations that lack specialty services, the future of telehealth for allergic diseases, digital inhalers and remote patient monitoring for asthma, leveraging telemedicine to reduce the financial burden of asthma care, and addressing social determinants of health by the use of telemedicine in the care of children with asthma.
