“Whilst pushing your body to the limit, nature etc. are highly valuable skills and the world has gone somewhat PC mad. Haskell and his contemporaries seem to think the ultimate man is one that is highly fit and capable of “beating people up” at any given second of a day. This Neanderthal outlook is a form of snobbery. The human race progresses through academic advancement e.g electricity. Whilst their skills are highly respectable, hence why I was drawn to the podcast and relate to it, I feel their egos need to be realised and respect for others (who may actually being doing something more important). That being said on the whole there is much to be learned about achievement, hard work and mental health....”
