Description
How do you find your voice and express yourself when you are the youngest of seven children? The answer: You take a lifelong passion and turn it into a sweet, artistic success! Pastry Chef Padua Player is as dedicated as they come and he is serious about his desserts!  Coming from humble beginnings and the home of a single parent, Chef Padua learned a lesson very early, in work ethic and tenacity. Chef Padua attributes his love for the culinary world with memories of snapping string beans, creating sweet potato pies alongside his mother in the kitchen. Any opportunity that arose for the budding pastry chef to help his mom in creating a family dish, he was front and center to soak in her culinary teachings.      Chef Padua’s pastry passion grew into him taking up residency an hour north of DC to attend Baltimore International College and would be the official start of his formal training in Baking and Pastry Arts.  Armed with his formal pastry skills, Chef Padua moved back to DC, with his talents landing him a job with Marriott in the Georgetown University system. Chef Padua has been praised for his work by Vice President Biden, featured on Platinum Weddings  and was a contestant on Food Network’s Sweet Genius hosted by famed Pastry Chef, Ron Ben Israel. Chef Padua has also provided his sweet delicacies to countless, singers, comedians and actors.
