Description
~ From Ballet Slippers to Banana Bread ~ After owning a dance studio for 12 years,  Lisa Gunderson decided to hang up  her tutu so  she could be home with her  two year old daughter Emily. A year later, Hannah arrived and soon a favorite afternoon activity for Lisa and her children was baking. Fast forward 10 years and as flour flew around the kitchen,  Lisa  found herself  thinking of creating a new business...and the answer was on the kitchen counter. The Banana bread that had been baked earlier that day.   Her passion for baking is inspired by her childhood memories of the heavenly aromas of her Norwegian mother's daily baking. Her mother’s influence is found in the traditional American classics that are baked lovingly at Polka Dot Pound Cake.  The company name and signature polka dot ribbons are a tribute to Lisa's mother. A sweet reminder of the decorative ribbons her mom would sew onto the childhood dresses she made for her! Polka Dot Pound Cakes are lovingly baked to order using farm fresh products, no added preservatives, and no ingredient that you cannot pronounce. Available in three sizes, their delicious varieties change seasonally.
