Description
JINS is here to explore the areas that have been falling into the trap of taboo, haram and munkar. Yet, Islam is a sexually-enlightened religion which teaches that sensuality should not be devoid of spirituality. It will probably raise a few eyebrows with the prudes amongst us, but Muslims need a compendium of the science and art of lovemaking from traditional Muslim sources. What is the secret to female pleasure? Do Muslims have their own guide to passionate love-making and sexual compatibility? Can Islam still brag about its tradition of erotology? Does it change anything sexually to be Black, Arab, North African or Brazilian if we are Muslims?   I’m very excited to introduce you Habeeb Akande. Habeeb Akande is a British-born writer, sexologist, historian of Nigerian, or more precisely, Yoruba descent. He is an alumnus of al-Azhar University in Egypt and Kingston University in the UK. He is the author of seven published books on race and sex in African and Muslim cultures. After writing this tetralogy, Habeeb’s work has gained momentum with a best-selling trilogy: A Taste of Honey, Women of Desire and Kunyaza. His main research interests include women's sexual rights, eroticism and the female orgasm in Islam and African cultures. As a public speaker and sex educator, Habeeb carries out workshops on the clitoris and female ejaculation at international conferences and leading universities. He featured in the BBC documentary, The Orgasm Gap (2020), which explored teaching female pleasure in Rwanda and the UK. Taking this knowledge from Prophetic wisdom, Habeeb Akande has explored every avenue of the subject with extensive reference to the great Islamic scholastic tradition.
