LeahV is an international Hijabi social media influencer, motivational speaker and content creator. She is a plus-size model, fashion blogger and body-positive activist. She wrote a memoir of her journey toward self-acceptance, called Unashamed: Musings of a Fat, Black Muslim. She wears a hijab and flashy colors. As a young Black girl, she never felt like she belonged, which led to low self-esteem and eating disorders. This is why today she is an educator, public speaker, lecturing widely around race relations, feminism/sexuality, Islam/religion, body-image, education, cultural sensitivity. Her content has garnered over a million views combined, and she’s been featured in hundreds of media platforms from the New York Times to Buzzfeed.
