Thank you for this podcast! I’ve listened to a few episodes now. I just listened to both parts of the Brooke episode and it could have been my story. Really similar relationship dynamics, protecting and downplaying early on, recognizing it as abusive later. Rationalizing to myself and my children! Losing myself to shame and self-medication. So many other little details resonated. I am now 3 years sober and 3 years beyond having this person in my life. My life is so much more aligned, honest, and peaceful now! Thank you for yet another great resource on this topic. I will recommend it.
