(2)  As we go out into the world to share the love of Christ, it is crucial to embrace our spiritual poverty and acknowledge that apart from Christ, there is nothing in ourselves to boast about. (3) Being poor in spirit transforms our perspective on the people we encounter in our mission. (4) Being poor in spirit shapes our mission into one of servanthood.
