Carmen graduated from Florida Atlantic University’s Honors College in 2019 with a double major in Biology and Molecular Neuroscience. She began veterinary school the following Fall and officially joined Dr. Adam Moeser’s lab in January 2022. Her research primarily focuses on the role of androgens and the effects of neonatal castration on functional development of the gastrointestinal immune system.
