“I have been a fan since day one but now I’m done. Listening to you discredit girl athletes who may have compete against trans girls who are genetically born boys is beyond disappointing. As the mother of a female athlete the idea that she may have to compete against or compete for a spot on a team against a trans girl is so discouraging. Girls have to fight so much hard to be respected as athletes and see the female equivalent of their sport looked down upon or given less funds because they are girls. I understand this is a complicated situation which is why you should absolutely not speak on it, especially so carelessly. I am not at all against the trans community I fully support everyone’s right up live their truth and feel safe and loved doing that. I know it’s ‘just sports’ but for some young adults that is what THEY live for and the only reason they go to school.
Moving forward I hope you will be more thoughtful voicing your opinion on subjects you are not educated on.”
