“It was truly scintillating radio to hear Kim Jones and host Sarah describe all the ways that trans women will never be “real” women. (As a trans woman myself, I recognize there are all sorts of differences between cis women and trans women, but I found the tone of the show to be unnecessarily derisive and divisive.) Sarah seems to suggest that trans women are never assaulted by men in dark parking lots, and that apparently our bodies are identical to those of cis men. Thank you NPR for taking my donations and highlighting all the ways I will never measure up to your standard of womanhood.”
