On Memorial Day weekend of 1990, 40-year-old Marlene Warren heard the doorbell ring in her Palm Beach County home. When she opened the door, she was delighted to find a clown standing on the porch, holding two balloons and a basket of carnations. The clown handed the gifts to Marlene, then pulled out a gun and shot her in the face.
