Carlee Russell stopped on I-459 South in Hoover, Alabama, at approximately 9:30 pm because she saw a toddler wandering on the side of the road.  She immediately called 9-1-1 then called her family to let them know what was going on.  Moments later, her family heard Carlee scream and that was it.  Only background traffic noise came through the phone.  Police arrived moments later to find Carlee's car, but no sign of her or the child.  What caused this young nursing student to disappear so suddenly and from such a busy road?
