Journey of Discovery
Biologos and the Language of God podcast have renewed my passion for truth and discovery. Having grown up in a conservative Christian household, attended church based on “Wesleyan-Holiness” tradition, and attended a faith-based university, I had chosen the path of least resistance and simply quick asking questions about human origin. I compartmentalized my belief in, and relationship with Jesus as wholly separate from what I knew of science and biology. I have gained additional confidence in my faith by listening to Jim’s conversations with scientists who struggled with the same questions and persevered to develop higher levels of awe and wonder at the immense power and greatness of our God and his creation. It’s okay to have questions. It’s okay to be both a scientist and a Christian. I wish I’d recognized much sooner that this is the false dilemma.
