“This is a very well produced show and I’ve enjoyed a few seasons. The stories are moving, compelling, and very well written. However I’ve noticed recently that Stephanie is very anti-religion and that bleeds into how she tells her story. Instead of letting the guest tell their own interpretation of events, she weaves in negative commentary about religion, God, and church that suggests either close mindedness or her own trauma in this space. Regardless of what it is (and I’m sympathetic), it’s not her job to reinterpret these stories - at least, that is not how this show is marketed.”
